Project Go Hub
Daily and Weekly Emails
Keep everyone up to date without writing a newsletter.
The Weekly Recap is one email a week to every member with an email address. It can include the coming week's events, birthdays and anniversaries, church news, the duty roster, and new members. Each person sees only the parts their role can see in the Hub. Leaders can also get the past week's attendance totals, the online giving total as one church figure with no names, and the number of visitors.
To set it up, open Weekly Recap in the Message Center. Pick the day and time, switch each section on or off, and choose which event categories to show. A preview on the same screen shows what the email will look like. The first email tells members what it is and how to unsubscribe.
The Daily Email is one email a day with the announcements posted since the last one. Members and leaders post announcements on the News page. Choose the send time and, if you like, your own subject line. On a day with no new announcements, nothing is sent. The Daily Email screen lists the last 30 days of sends.
Members choose for themselves. In My Account they can switch the Weekly Recap and the daily announcements email on or off, and every email has an unsubscribe link. People who are not members can get either email too. Add them as subscribers on the Mailing Lists page and tick Daily Email, Weekly Recap, or both, or pick a mailing list on the settings screen.
Once an email is turned on, the Hub sends it at the time you chose, on your church's clock. It will not send the same email twice to one address, even if the system restarts.
Who this helps
Members
They get a short email with what is coming up at church and the latest news, and a daily note when there are new announcements. They can turn either one off in My Account or from the link in the email.
Leaders
Pick the day and time once and the emails go out on their own. You do not have to collect the news each week, and leaders can see attendance, giving totals, and visitor counts in their own copy.
